At BestStart Redwood, our professional and fun kaiako (teachers) have a genuine love of teaching and learning. We take great pride in our environment, which is specifically designed to support and extend your tamariki's learning and development. Our curriculum is responsive and rich in language and cultural artifacts, fostering your child's mana and individuality.

We believe in striking a balance between set activities and self-choice experiences. To support your child's learning and development, we offer a wide range of excellent and developmentally appropriate resources. Throughout the day, your child will have access to these resources, and our kaiako will also set up specific activities, such as music and painting.

Our Nursery is staffed by caring teachers who are passionate about meeting the individual needs of your infant. We understand the importance of following the same routines that you have at home, ensuring a smooth transition for your little one.

In our Toddlers Room, we provide plenty of exciting educational experiences that capture your child's imagination and help them develop their identities as autonomous learners.

For our older children, our Prep-school offers a wide range of experiences, activities, and equipment to support inquiry learning. Here, your child can plan and monitor their own experiences, fostering independence and confidence.

We understand that each whanau has unique needs, which is why we offer flexible session times to accommodate your schedule.

At BestStart Redwood, we have very large outdoor spaces in both the nursery and the preschool, providing ample opportunities for outdoor exploration and play.

Our dedicated kaiako are committed to supporting your child to be respectful, resilient, and independent. Over time, we strive to help your child develop these important qualities.
