About the Business
Welcome to GWC Regalia Hire, located at Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. Our institution is a point of interest and a university establishment, situated on the UC Dovedale Campus in the Wairarapa Building. When you arrive, simply go to car park 1 off Solway or Parkstone Ave, and follow the signs for the Wairarapa Building. Along the path/drive, you will see our flag and signage, making it easy to find us.
Our regular opening hours are from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, during the graduation seasons of UC, Lincoln University, and Ara, we extend our hours for collecting and returning regalia hire. Please refer to your confirmation order email for the specific hours during these busy periods. If you haven't received an email, it means your order was not submitted correctly.
When you come to collect your regalia, we will fit you on the same day. If you prefer, you can still order online, but please note that a late fee will apply. The tertiary institutions recommend ordering your regalia at the same time you apply to graduate. If you're unsure about your eligibility to graduate, don't worry. We can always refund your money or transfer your order to the next graduation.
In case you need to cancel your order, we offer a full refund if your payment was made within a 6-month timeframe. Alternatively, we can issue you a credit to use for another graduation or for casual hire.
To ensure the best fit, please provide us with your overall height in centimeters. Our gowns come in specific height measurements, and we will fit you with the closest size.
At GWC Regalia Hire, we take pride in being a registered charity that has been providing academic regalia hire since 1935. All our profits are donated back to education, benefiting students of UC, Lincoln University, and Ara Institute of Canterbury. By choosing our services, you are contributing to scholarships and prizes for these institutions.
We owe a huge thanks to our dedicated group of volunteers, who we affectionately call our "women power." Their commitment and hard work help us keep our costs low, allowing us to increase our scholarship funding.
