The story of Kate Lee begins in her birth country, South Korea, where she embarked on a rigorous 5-year training course in Hair Styling and Design immediately after college. In the bustling streets of Seoul, she honed her skills in a city known for its unparalleled style and fashion consciousness. Kate's passion for the industry grew, and she dreamt of one day owning her own business.

Seeking new experiences and personal growth, Kate embarked on an Overseas Experience (OE), starting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and later moving to Canada, where she worked in downtown Vancouver for a year. In 2009, Kate arrived in New Zealand and quickly realized that this would be her adopted country. To integrate into the local culture, she enrolled in English language classes, showcasing her determination and work ethic.

In 2014, Kate's dream of owning her own salon became a reality when she purchased the existing business of Pia Hair Studio from the retiring owner, Peter Baretta. With nearly 25 years of experience, Kate's expertise, in-depth knowledge, and professionalism have made Kate Lee Boutique Salon thrive and flourish. Our client base is diverse but discerning, attracting people of all nationalities, ages, and genders who have one thing in common – a desire to look and feel amazing.
