"We recently had a disappointing experience with Smith City that we feel compelled to share. My encounter with their customer service and the inaccurate information provided on their website left me frustrated and dissatisfied. It all started when we saw an advertisement for the Samsung Q990C Soundbar and decided to call their call center to confirm its availability at the Smith City store on Colombo St in Chch. The representative assured me that the Soundbar was in stock. Excited by the news, We immediately headed to the store, only to find out that there was no stock available. Undeterred, the next day, I saw an advertisement on their website for a Samsung QLED 85" TV, SKU: 9072923. Eager to make the purchase, I visited not one but two Smith City branches in Chch, but to my dismay, none of them had the TV in stock. Furthermore, the staff were unable to provide information on which branch, if any, had it available. The lack of assistance at the store was disheartening. Despite requesting help from multiple salespersons, no one seemed interested in assisting. Finally, one staff member offered to help and promised to gather the required information and call me back to confirm where it is in stock. However, it has been a week, and I have yet to receive any call or update. To make matters worse, even the customer service center was unhelpful and displayed a rude attitude. Their unwillingness to address my concerns only added to my frustration. My main grievance lies with the website. If the information displayed were real-time, I wouldn't have wasted my valuable time driving around to different branches in search of the products. Accurate inventory updates could have saved me from the inconvenience and hassle. In conclusion, my experience with Smith City was far from satisfactory."
"Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Stood in store for at least 30 minutes and had three sales assistants standing around just talking with no offer of help. I’d give negative stars if I could. Just lost a good sale and I’ll never be back."
"I absolutely love the bargains you can get from Smiths. We recently bought a 5 seater lounge set from them. The sales team were absolutely exceptional and not only got us a great deal but onto a product that was even better than the original one we went into purchase. Their furniture offerings easily rival those of sone of their more fancied competitors. The team really do know their products and take the time to listen to their clients needs. We'll definitely be back!"
"Love the color and modern design Laz boy sectional sofa, and also long-term of warranty. Pay extra $229 extended to 5 years from 3years for leather. (Wood & Mechanism 10 years each already) Also you get a cleaning kit as well. Importantly they do treatment for waterproof before delivery. Also staff was very helpful and kind. Happy to purchase when they have special offer."
