Welcome to New Shoots Children's Centre Hamilton, a modern and vibrant establishment located in the heart of Hamilton, New Zealand. Our centre is situated at 109-117 Tristram Street, offering a convenient and easily accessible location for families in the area.

At New Shoots, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and home-like environment where our tamariki (children) can thrive. Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about outdoor education, and we firmly believe in the importance of "Playing in Nature." This commitment is at the core of our approach to early childhood education.

One of the highlights of our programme is our weekly trips to the Taitua Arboretum. Our preschool tamariki eagerly hop on a bus and spend the day immersed in the tranquil natural surroundings, engaging in play and exploration. We also encourage our children to become active gardeners, nurturing our vegetable patches, apple and feijoa trees, strawberries, and herb garden.

At New Shoots, we value a play-based programme of learning that fosters genuine respect and understanding. We actively promote trusting and respectful partnerships with our parents and whānau (extended family). Whānau participation, community involvement, and supporting charities are integral to our philosophy. Our passionate kaiako (teachers) have a lifelong love of learning and continuously grow alongside our whānau and tamariki.

Our fees at New Shoots include nappies, meals, wet bags, bags, and hats/beanies. We operate as a full-day service and do not offer short days or sessions. Our teacher ratios exceed Ministry of Education standards, ensuring high-quality care for your child. The minimum enrolment requirement is two days per week, and a $50 enrolment fee is due upon enrolment to secure your child's place. Should you need to terminate enrolment, we ask for two weeks' notice.

If you have two or more children attending New Shoots full time, you can enjoy a 10% discount on your eldest child's fees. Please note that while we provide nappies and food, formula must be brought from home if required.
