Welcome to Te Rapa Early Education Waikato, a purpose-built institution providing inclusive and high-quality early childhood education and childcare in Hamilton, New Zealand. Our qualified and passionate teachers are dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for your child's growth and development.

At Te Rapa Early Education Waikato, we understand the importance of outdoor play and exploration. Our large outdoor spaces allow children to engage in physical activities, connect with nature, and develop their gross motor skills. We believe that a strong foundation in early childhood education sets the stage for future success, which is why we offer 20 ECE hours each week.

We operate separate learning areas for infants, toddlers, and kindergarteners to cater to their unique needs and developmental stages. Our programmes are based on planned experiences that are responsive to each child's individual interests and needs. Our qualified staff carefully plan activities that align with the early childhood curriculum, ensuring that children are competent, confident, and successful learners.

Our teachers provide learning extensions that prepare your child for school. From numeracy and literacy to nature and science, computers and technology, puzzles and games, creative arts, and more, we offer a comprehensive range of educational experiences. We also have a transition to school programme in place to help children smoothly transition to their next educational journey.

At Te Rapa Early Education Waikato, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. Children work together during mat time to share daily information, stories, songs, movement, drama, and waiata. We encourage the development of child friendships and foster a sense of belonging and inclusion.

For our youngest learners, we understand the importance of maintaining their routines. Babies have a primary caregiver who will respect and follow their unique routines, including sleep and preferred wraps. We strive to create a warm and nurturing environment where your child feels safe and secure.

Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm, and a daily charge applies. We welcome children and their families/whānau at 7.30am and bid them farewell at 5.30pm. Throughout the day, children engage in a variety of activities and child-led learning experiences, with breaks for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack.
