Welcome to Hartley School of Performing Arts, located in the vibrant town of Rangiora, New Zealand. Founded by Dale Hartley-Brown, a seasoned performer and teacher, our institution offers a diverse range of performing arts classes in acting, singing, and dance for both children and adults in the Rangiora and North Canterbury area.

Our school proudly presents two major children's musical-theatre stage shows each year, allowing our students to showcase their talent and build their confidence in a fun-filled environment. We also offer examination opportunities in Speech & Drama, Singing, and Dance, providing our students with a structured pathway to further their skills and achievements.

Safety is paramount at Hartley School of Performing Arts, and we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for all our students to discover and nurture their strengths. Whether you're a preschooler, a junior, or an upper junior, we have classes tailored to your age group and interests. Our junior students, in particular, are currently working on our exciting production of "Winnie the Pooh," which will be staged at the Rangiora Town Hall at the end of the term.

As an accredited examination center for Trinity College, London, our students have the opportunity to sit Speech & Drama, Musical Theatre, and Singing exams, further enhancing their credentials and opening doors to future opportunities.

We take great pride in our students' achievements, and we were thrilled to celebrate our 2022 scholarship recipients at our prize-giving event in December. These exceptional students have worked tirelessly, and we are honored to have them represent both HSPA and the generous businesses and families who sponsor these awards. Congratulations to our North Canterbury Musicals Intermediate Scholarship winners and our two Trinity College Diploma recipients, Michelle and Lily, who achieved outstanding results in their Speech & Drama Diplomas.
