"Inflexible cancellation policy. I had enrolled my niece in classes she only informed me three days after term began that she’d be cancelling. She went to zero classes. I emailed the school twice before I eventually got a response two weeks later saying that it was against their terms and conditions. Fine - but maybe you should have been more responsive earlier and I’d have encouraged my niece to at least see out the term and not waste the fee."

I've always been wary of dance schools and the 'dance school culture' but Colette is breaking the mold here, with a school that is unique, fun for children, builds confidence, nurtures their talents and showcases a genuine love for the performing arts. I have a boy and a girl and they LOVE coming to Studio 42 every week! Highly recommend"

"I absolutely believe that every dance teacher should go and watch at least one of your showcases to learn how to put on a truly memorable and entertaining show. Your shoes are more than just a 2 hour long recital. They’re a showcase which actually shows off every dancers talent, you can see how much you value the kids and young adults who attend your school, the special moments in choreography you provide not always to the best dancers but to those with true passion and those who need it. S42 truly inspires its dancers, and I would say it’s the best dance school I have ever seen in New Zealand. It’s beautiful to watch your performers be so open and vulnerable onstage, completely expressing themselves, being allowed to have dyed hair, tattoos, bra straps showing and not looking like clones of each other. I admire your inclusivity, it shows that you have a studio bond stronger than just individual classes or cliques. Tears onstage and in the audience. Your showcases will always be the best, not boring at all for the parents. It’s amazing how deep your family runs, the kids helping out front and proudly repping their studio in public. I’ve been dancing all my life and I now wish it was with you guys"
