Welcome to Scarlet Hair Studio, located on Argyll Road in Tauranga, New Zealand. Formerly known as Scarlet Rose Hairstylist, our establishment has been a trusted name in hair care and health since 1978. Founded by David and Wendy Brush, our studio has a rich history in the industry.
In 1999, their son Tavis Brush joined the business as an apprentice, and it was during this time that he met Sarah Brush. Sarah had visited the salon for work experience and the two eventually married. Both Tavis and Sarah sought out training at award-winning salons to enhance their skills and gain the experience necessary to run a successful salon.
In 2006, Tavis and Sarah embarked on their journey as owners of Scarlet Hair Studio and they haven't looked back since. They have injected their own unique style into the salon, creating a fun and relaxed yet skilled and professional environment. We understand that the hairdressing industry can sometimes feel pretentious, but we strive to break that mold and provide a welcoming atmosphere for all our clients.

"I dont know if I can express how great mu visit was. I have relocated to Tauranga and had to leave my old stylist and find a new one. I had visited 2 saloons since moving to Tauranga and ended up with brown hair, after spending a year ( ans money!) In Auckland transitioning to a blonde Sarah not only had a good chat with me,she asked for photos of my hair,pre move ,and really listening to what I wanted She also managed to squeeze me in the next week! After my visit with Sarah,I came out finally feeling like myself She did an amazing job with the colour and is such a nice person FYI just came back from a weekend in Auckland bumped into my old hairdresser She said " whoever did your hair didn't an exceptional job" Apparently that's the ultimate ,when another hairdresser compliments another's work Thank you!"
