Welcome to The Miners Tavern & Huntly Events Centre, located in the heart of Huntly, New Zealand. Since 1935, our establishment, previously known as The Huntly Workingmans Club, has been serving the hardworking men and women of this vibrant community.

Our iconic building, which received a building consent in 1950, has undergone various additions and major renovations over the years to become the magnificent structure it is today. This expansion was necessary to accommodate the ever-growing number of patrons, as people flocked to Huntly to work in the coal mines or contribute to the construction of the power station. In fact, our membership had a waiting list due to our popularity.

As we prepare to reopen, we are proud to be a symbol of Waikato's heritage and a local identity in Huntly, a town rich in coal mining history. Nestled along the Mighty Waikato, our venue offers a unique experience that combines history, culture, and delicious cuisine.
