Welcome to Woodend Automotive, a trusted car repair institution located at 56 Main North Road in Woodend, New Zealand. With 32 years of experience in the industry, we have become a local business servicing the North Canterbury area.
Our journey began in October 1987 when Dave and Janet purchased a small 2 pump service station/workshop. Over the years, we have grown alongside the local community, expanding and becoming the hub of the area. Recently, we decided to step away from the service station and underwent renovations to provide our customers with a warm and inviting reception area, as well as a clean and functional workshop equipped with a wheel alignment machine, brake rollers, and tyre machines.
At Woodend Automotive, we prioritize building long-lasting relationships with our customers. Our approach is based on open and honest conversations, ensuring that we provide the highest level of customer service. We take the time to listen to our customers and understand their needs. Our team of qualified and NZTA approved WOF and Vehicle Technicians are friendly and approachable, always ready to answer any questions you may have. They use plain language to explain what repairs are required and will obtain your approval before proceeding.
As members of the Motor Trade Association, we stand by all our work, as our membership depends on our performance. We service and repair all new and late model cars to manufacturers' specifications, allowing us to carry out warranty servicing. Additionally, we are approved WINZ, insurance, and warranty company repairers. To ensure that we consistently offer a high quality of service, our technicians regularly attend MTA training courses.

"On my way North, my car developed a major electronic fault, which caused me to have a major mental meltdown, panic attack and outbreak of swearing bad enough that it surprised me as well! The guys at Woodend checked out the fault, which was bad enough to require the car to be towed back to Christchurch for further analysis and (hopefully) a repair. They were incredibly helpful, performed several checks and attempted to clear the fault while I ran in little circles like a startled chook. Their help enabled me to make arrangements to continue my travels, even though it was not necessary for them to do so. I have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly and would gladly use their services at any further time. If I could rate them as six-star, I would. Their toilet is exceptionally clean too...not like other garages I have had reason to visit for the same purpose. Just sayin'."
