"Really terrible experience!! I was asked to come 20 mins before my appointment so they could do a consultation. When I arrived 20 mins early no one spoke to me so I took a seat. After 10 mins the hairdresser called me to come over to a station. She sat me there and said she would be with me soon. Then I sat there for another 20 mins, also I had been offered NO water or magazines or anything!!!?!? Eventually she came back to me and asked what I wanted. I told her I was nervous about going short but I was thinking of trying a pixie cut. I showed her pics I had gotten from pinterest which were on the longer side of a pixie cut. She said not to worry that she knows what to do. Then she left me again! Eventually she came back to me and said she is going to use the clippers on the back. I was confused but assumed she meant to tidy the bottom. Suddenly she started SHAVING MY HEAD!!! From the nape of my neck all the way up to past my crown!!! And the sides of my head. I was shocked and devastated, but I felt too afraid to say anything. I just kept my eyes looking down and praying that I wouldn't look too bad after this. :/ At some point she finally put down the clippers and proceeded to hack into the hair that was left on top with her scissors. When I left there I left with a shaved head and an ATROCIOUS haircut, and I NEVER had that glass of water offered to me. This hairdresser did not take the time listen to me and my needs and just went and did what she thought. She should have had a proper consultation with me, as I was trying to get the point across to her that I was NERVOUS to go short and that I didn't want to go too short... so why the beep would anyone use clippers!!!??!!! (number 2 or 3 according to other hairdressers) I have had to go to 2 other hairdressers since and both have been shocked, the mess on my head was terribly executed, disjointed. and honestly ugly, plus not at all what I wanted. I bawled my eyes out for days, and I still feel horrible about it now. I felt bad to write a negative review, but I have finally realized it is better for me to speak up so that other people don't go through this, and maybe the hairdresser can learn to communicate effectively with her clients. 0/5 from me on customer service and execution of haircut."

"Friendly professional service and friendly staff of 2, providing male and female cuts and colour. Our hair dresser is Jackie, she is an amazing colorist, she is exceptional with bright and funky colours as well as more natural tones. Always a pleasure to visit, parking just outside the door and located on the main street of Howick."
