"I cant help but think I visited this place 5 decades ago as a child. The fountain looks so familiar. With the wind going the spray pushed water all over the place. Kids would love it. A very nice statuary. Very picturesque."
"A very nice fountain. Built in 1947, made of of Sicilian Marble for the astute eye, fluted to catch the light, adorned with bronze sea monsters , decorated with thousands of turquoise-coloured tiles, the fountain is indeed one of Auckland's finest jewels. Thanks!"
"Fantastic spray, great place for the kids to run around. Very clean, you can tell this is a well cared for water feature. Great views of mission bay and good that it is centrally located to Star Bucks mission bay. -1 star for the fact this is a non-swimming water feature, I think it would be a lovely place to dip your toes in the summer time (or a sunny winters day!)"
"It’s as a fountain should be. So mesmerising to sit and watch. Fountain shoots high and is a great backdrop in pictures with the beach beyond. Footpath could be less muddy but with constant foot traffic, it is to be expected. The actual fountain was people-less, at the time so I could see the bottom and it had random debris from nature. Also water was clear and not murky. If we had change of clothes, probably would’ve splashed around-not gonna lie lol All in all, a huge massive fountain that you don’t see everywhere, right in the heart of Mission Bay!"
"Lovely spot by the beach. Plenty of grass to hang out and throw a rugby ball around or play spikeball. Great place to come with friends"
