"No service, no casual visit, receptionist just rejected me outright"
"I don't believe I've ever used any organisation in any capacity that is more unfit for purpose. There are really only three possibilities here: - the staff are extremely poorly trained and poorly treated - the university are deliberately misleading its students - the staff are bad faith actors UHCS has not helped my health - in contrast, they have been an active hindrance, effectively paywalling me until I decide to register with a different clinic. Every interaction is fraught with the idea that you, as a customer and as a patient, are wasting their time. If you are in any way unusual or require special attention, you will be referred elsewhere as lazily as possible. To top it all off they're only dealing with urgent matters right now. Do not trust them with so much as a broken toenail."
"I recently called the University Health and Counselling Service and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The staff were unprofessional and seemed disinterested in helping me. The wait time was unbearable and I felt like just another number in a long line. The staff weren't willing to help and weren't providing me details. Overall, I would not recommend this service to anyone and would advise seeking help elsewhere."
"I had such a terrible experience here last year similar to the other reviews I was in need of a prescription and they stuffed me around for so long I had to pay a lot of money at the pharmacy to get what I need without the prescription. It was so hard to find a appointment and then when I finally got one the nurse was extremely rude and argumentative and made me feel uncomfortable lecturing and blaming me. However the young receptionist is great and I haven’t experienced trouble with doctors only this nurse"
"Tried to make an appointment with my GP one week before my prescription medication ran out. It took over a week for a slot to become available and I was left without prescription meds for 5 days. I was told that I would need an appointment before they continue to dispense medication that I've been on for over two years now, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. During these 5 days I suffered from withdrawals and the doctors didn't even care to give me a short prescription to cover that 5 day shortfall in which I wouldn't have my medication. Such a poor healthcare service, I would honestly rather pay more for competent healthcare with GPs and nurses who actually care about their patients health and well-being."
