"Unfortunately I had a bad experience with a shop attendant, he was annoyed at me for trying on a lot of leggings - I explained to him that I was trying to figure out my size and only once I'd tried on a few I realized I was a small not a medium and that's why the leggings didn't feel right. He made some comments about me trying on too many which discouraged me from being able to find a pair that fit and that I liked. When I did find a pair I liked the shop didn't have them in small, the shop attendant said he didn't like when people came in the store, tried things on and then didn't buy anything so I felt pressured to buy something that I didn't like - but I didn't because icebreaker is SUCH an investment and I don't have money to waste on clothes that don't fit! however - I did buy a bra that was nice despite the fact that he couldn't hep me find the right size and didn't know what I meant when I asked for help trying to find the right bra size. I tried to explain to him that its real hard as a woman to shop when you can be an 8, 10 or 12 depending on the brand - he didn't seem to empathize and throughout the whole experience I got the feeling that he was uncomfortable attending to me - but the lady who attended me before he arrived was great."

"Products are a 3/5 – innovative and sustainable with thoughtful features, but high price tags and some quality/longevity issues. Shopping experience is a 1/5, as if they haven't updated their e-commerce model since the 2000's. Reasons for this: 1) Click and collect takes 3-4 business days, but in my case after 5 business days the order hasn't even left the warehouse in Christchurch. In 2021 this is a disgrace compared to other retailers that can achieve same-day click & collect or next day delivery. 2) In-store product selection is peanuts compared to online, making it difficult to compare options when shopping in store. 3) The combination of the above means exchanges/returns are a pain. Online purchases can’t be exchanged in a straightforward way - you need to return the unwanted product and make a new purchase (which might not even be stocked in store). So, they do well at sustainability and making decent products, but they need to totally revamp the online shopping experience to suit the current decade. Other brands are gaining ground in the product space while their shopping experiences are already way ahead."
