Onepoto Playcentre offers a unique early childhood education experience where children and their families can play and grow together. At our Playcentre, parents and whānau (extended family) are the primary caregivers, creating a strong sense of community and connection.

With a high adult to child ratio, Onepoto Playcentre provides a child-initiated program that caters to each child's individual strengths and interests. Whether you have a newborn or are new to the community, our Playcentre is a welcoming space for babies, young children, and parents to come together. As a nationwide charity, Playcentre Aotearoa operates over 400 centres across New Zealand. Each centre offers a supportive, fun, and friendly environment for families to thrive. Onepoto Playcentre warmly welcomes children aged 0-6, and infants are encouraged to attend most sessions and participate in regular activities. We also offer specialized sessions that cater specifically to the needs of newborns to 1-year-olds, providing support and friendship for new parents.

We are excited to share that Onepoto Playcentre has recently received a one-off grant of $3 million in Budget 2023 from Playcentre Aotearoa, enabling us to continue providing exceptional early childhood education.
