Reviews
"Great wall, well maintained and very clean! The hut was a treat with a hot fire going and massive kitchen!"
"It said hot showers in my DOC leaflet, but they are cold. The flush toilets in the big main block are clean, but the smaller block was dirty. There is a kitchen area which is useful. But the lights stopped working every night when it got dark....! Amazing walks from the campsite, and the place is huge so there is a lot of privacy as everyone is spread out."
"Someone commented on campermate about a strange man hanging around in 2019... well it appears he is still here! I didn't read that review before arriving but we were greeted with a very strange man once it went dark. He appeared behind us out of nowhere and then said sorry for startling us and carried on walking. We were parked next to the bushes near the toilets and he was in there making noises and throwing things in the dark? Then we went into our camper car as he freaked us out and we could hear him outside our car. He was talking to himself and making a clanking noise, again in the dark. Then we went to the toilet together around 9.30pm (because we felt very uneasy with this man) and we could hear him in the male toilets talking to himself in the DARK??? Then we came out of the toilet and he appeared out of the men's toilets and he said he had lost his phone? Then, he proceeded to walk into the grass with no shoes on and no torch? It was wet weather too. I also saw him walk over in the dark to the only other camper that was here and then he stayed there which made me think he was peeping and then I saw him walk all around the bush. It was VERY weird and absolutely not ok behaviour. It made me and my sister feel very uncomfortable and on edge all night. Also if this is infact the same man from the 2019 review (which seems very likely) then something needs to be done to move him a long? As a strange man walking around in the dark with no torch, talking to himself, walking close to everyone's campers and sitting in the male toilets with no lights? Just weird!!!! Would never return because of this man. Also the fact that you are locked in with him and can't leave is even worse. If he wasn't there then it was fine. Cold showers and flushing toilets on the doc pass."
"Great little camp site with basic stuff you need for camping and near enough to anything you need just a drive away"
"the toilets and the bath are okay. but we came 5 min to late and they closed the gate. i informed the staff and he said no problem. because of this we had to sleep in the car. because of the very nice area i want to give this place 3 instead of 2 stars."
