Fernlea School

Welcome to Fernlea School, located in the beautiful Lower Hutt area of Lees Grove in New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a school that caters to students from years 1 to 6. With our decile 4 rating, we offer a high-quality education to our diverse range of students.

At Fernlea School, we prioritize the success and potential of our students in all areas of the curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure that each student receives the support and guidance they need to thrive academically.

Our institution boasts ten well-equipped classrooms and a student roll that fluctuates between 230 and 260 students. This allows us to maintain a close-knit community where every student is known and valued.

We are currently in the process of reviewing our Fernlea School curriculum and implementation statements. This review is driven by our commitment to providing the best possible education for our students. We believe in fostering a love for learning and equipping our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future endeavors.

We also recognize and honor the unique position of Māori, the dual heritage of New Zealand, and the cultural diversity within our school.
