"one time i saw a howick student hitting a mad vape, the fattest ghost in the basketball court, bro was doin full rings and all that too many funny ppl at howick lol"
"The school is ok, but I had this one crazy French teacher when I was a freshman and she was just mad at everyone all the time and would yell for no reason? And the bullying is quite bad, and whenever I go to the bathrooms I see vapers and 5 girls somehow in the same stall. Sometimes you see used tampons hanging from the ceiling in the girls bathrooms, and the smell in there is like cottoncandybubblegumstrawberrylicious vape. So Don’t make the mistake of sending your child here."
"stinky winky and they need to supply deodorant. plus they are very toxic with no manners and i got locked in a cupboard at D block"
"One of the Esol teachers is named Mrs B, I’m not going to say her name. I finished my essay in advance, but she assumed I cheat, then copied and paste my work on google, then it did not show anything, and she left without an apology, I was asking why but she did not say anything. At end of the semester, she called everyone to fix their reading logs, but just did not tell me, and then I lost my credits, and I keep asking her through emails and face-to-face, but she just not helping me without reason, such ridiculous hate me through this reason. I did pretty good in other subjects and other teachers I met are responsible. I’m also surprised she goes to teach without preparing anything, I know she was new, but there’s no reason to be rude. I graduated in 2020, and the teacher at the ESOL department made amazing efforts in it before her, unfortunately, they are retired. But I still appreciate hc, amazing five years I never had before."
"For a big school Howick College is surprisingly personable. I've seen first hand how much the staff do genuinely care. My daughter gradually spiralled into a dark place, was very unhappy, didnt want to go to school and I needed help. I approached the school for help and they listened right from the get go. I was in regular contact with the Dean, her teachers and School Counselor who were great and by working together my daughter was able to manage her way through some significant disruptions and is back on track again."
