Welcome to Mangere Community Law Centre, located in Manukau, Mangere Town Square. As an establishment and point of interest in New Zealand, we are proud to offer free legal help throughout New Zealand.

If you have a legal problem, we are here to assist you. Our team consists of lawyers who are also community workers. We take the time to listen carefully to your concerns, ensuring that you feel comfortable throughout the process. We are whānau friendly, meaning we treat you like family, and we strive to help you find solutions that best suit your needs. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in Aotearoa, regardless of their financial situation, has access to justice and experiences true equality.

Community Law is available all across the country, from Kaitāia to Rēkohu (the Chathams). We offer a wide range of free legal assistance, ranging from easy-to-read information to community workshops and one-on-one legal help.

If you're looking for quick answers, our Community Law Manual is available online. It provides comprehensive guides on various areas of the law, written in an easily understandable format. You can also find and adapt legal letters to help you solve your problems independently.

For more in-depth guidance, we offer the Community Law Manual, a practical legal guide that you can purchase. Additionally, you can book a legal education workshop at your local Community Law Centre to expand your knowledge on legal matters.

If you require personalized legal advice, we encourage you to visit your local Community Law Centre and meet with one of our lawyers. Depending on your situation, we may be able to provide you with free ongoing legal help.

While our online resources and community workshops are available to all New Zealanders, our focus is on assisting individuals with limited financial resources. If you are on a benefit or have a low income, we are here to support you. Additionally, we aim to help vulnerable individuals, such as those struggling with housing or living with violence.

Community Law covers a wide range of legal problems, including employment, family, and housing issues, as well as criminal matters, human rights, and Māori land. However, please note that we do not handle issues related to property or business.
