"I'd planned my new kitchen in my head for 9 years, and had plans drawn up about 4 years ago but never went as far as quoting for the whole job. When my old appliances started failing though, I knew I didn't want to spend a cent repairing my old kitchen - it was time to finally make the move and embark on the scary journey of a brand new kitchen. Even though I was fairly sure I knew what I wanted, I asked Karen to come up with some ideas that were different from what had been in my head for so long. She really thought outside the box and came up with about 3 or 4 suggestions that challenged my thinking. I still went ahead with my initial layout, but did so confident that I'd considered all other possibilities - and obviously I incorporated a lot of suggestions from Karen that have made the kitchen perfect. I couldn't have been happier with the finished product. My builder, whose job is 'kitchens' and was probably a little frustrated I didn't use one of his kitchens, has been nothing but positive about the quality of the finish of the joinery, and said he would be happy to have that in his own home - high praise indeed! With the final plumbing and wiring completed just in the last few days, I was able to spend the weekend just 'contemplating' the glory of my new kitchen!
