"I don't think I have ever been to a bakery that has come this close to perfecting the "home cooked" hattrick of presentation, taste and texture as well as Alyx has. I had a mince and cheese pie which has probably ruined all other pies for me forever. The cheese scone was light and fluffy yet very cheesy and toasted perfectly. The vegan cupcake! I never knew vegan food could be so good. Moist and flavourful. We are incredibly lucky to have such a gem in Newlands. My only regret is I only have 5 stars to give."

It was very easy to work with her as I showed her an inspiration of the cake that I wanted and she did it a 100x better!
