"After being diagnosed with depression and struggling for years I finally decided to see someone to talk to as things were getting bad. My doctor recommended Athena. I was told I was not depressed didn’t have depression and was just sad. Within 10 minutes she had also decided I have issues triggered by my parents whom I didn’t even bring up and when I continued to explain how they weren’t a issue I was told I was argumentative. It took me along time after this experience to try again with another therapist. This is years later and I still think about this interaction and how much it harmed me and prevented me getting help when that was the goal. If I could give negative stars I would.
