The highlight of Trentham Memorial Park is its expansive playground, which is designed to cater to children of all ages. The play area features a variety of traditional and adventure items, including two large forts, a 4.5 metre-high mega-swing, double-basket swing, skysurf, rodeo board, and more. Kids will be thrilled to explore and play in this exciting playground.
Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy at Trentham Memorial Park. The park is home to an athletics field, six cricket pitches, and a summer football league area. In the winter months, the park transforms into a hub for football and rugby, hosting seven football fields and eleven junior and senior rugby fields. These facilities can be booked on request, making it a perfect location for sports events and activities.
Please note that the park strictly prohibits the use of ATV's, dirt bikes, motorbikes, and other motorised vehicles. This policy ensures a safe and peaceful environment for all visitors.
For your convenience, toilets are available next to the cricket club, near Barton Cricket Oval, and on the other side of Barton Bush. These facilities are open from dusk until dawn daily. Additionally, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is located in an exterior wall of the Trentham Indoor Sports Centre, providing peace of mind in case of emergencies.
If you are planning an organised event, outing, field trip, school activity, or large gathering at Trentham Memorial Park, we kindly request that you submit a park booking request at least 4 weeks prior to the event. This will ensure that we can accommodate your needs and provide the best experience possible.

"Lovely park in the middle of upper hutt suburbs. It backs onto the river with all the hutt river walkways that brings. There are quite a few fields that are used for various weekend sporting events. The lower field is also used for events through the year which can be quite exciting. The playgroud is recnetly renovated and well maintained."
"Upgrades are currently occurring at Trentham Memorial Park. The new BBQ and seating area look amazing and there is very little disturbance to the park as the work is being carried out. Still well worth a visit, particularly with such beautiful autumn colour to stroll through."
