Tuakau Centennial Pool
About the Business
Welcome to Tuakau Centennial Pool, a premier establishment and point of interest located at Escotts Road, Tuakau, New Zealand. Our pool is one of the three community swimming pools in the Waikato district, with the others being in Ngaruawahia and Huntly.
Please note that there may be further closures on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 February, and we will keep this webpage updated with any information. We appreciate your understanding and patience during these times.
Our pool is open on weekdays from 3pm to 6pm and on weekends from 12pm to 6pm, unless there is a school booking. Thanks to the Ngaruawahia Community Board, we are currently offering half-price entry fees for the summer season.
At Tuakau Centennial Pool, you will find a variety of facilities to suit your needs. We have an indoor lap pool for those looking to swim some laps and stay fit. Additionally, we have a learner and toddler's pool, perfect for children and those who are new to swimming. If you prefer to enjoy the outdoors, we also have an outdoor picnic area where you can relax and have a great time with your friends and family.
Our opening hours are as follows: Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Please keep in mind that these hours may be subject to change, so it's always a good idea to check our webpage for any updates.
To make your visit even more affordable, we are currently offering an entry fee of just $1 until the end of summer, thanks to the Onewhero-Tuakau Community Board.
If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact the Waikato District Council. You can reach them at Private Bag 544, Ngaruawahia, 3742, New Zealand.

"This place is quiet and relaxing, a local secret that doesn't get too busy. If you want the whole pool to yourself, go first thing in the morning. Bring a picnic!"
"Two pools. Baby pool and standard rectangular pool β minimum depth is 1.1m. Baby pool was not available which was the purpose of our trip. But nice quiet spot (mind you we we went during school hours). Playground next door"
"The pools are nice but not heated at all so it was a bit cold for my toddlers to enjoy. Older kids probably wouldn't be bothered. The toddler pool is also quite deep, my 3 year old can just touch the bottom. There is a cool little spray feature that sends a gentle stream of water down the slope, the little ones enjoyed splashing around in there. Hopefully there will be a more shallow pool suitable for under 5's in the future."
"Is a great local pool, a kid and adult sized pool available both cold but an amazing place to cool off in summer, picnic tables and shading provided around one side of the pool side while the changing/toilet facilities with bench seating is on the opposite side. Bike rack area inside the pool gate also provided."
"Nice, clean outdoor pools, they have a children's pool and bigger pool, neat spot. Was very quiet not many people there, adequate changing rooms and toilets. Pools are not heated but great for the hot summer months, only thing is entry fee was quite pricey. Will definitely go back again, next to pools is a wonderful park. That you can enjoy after your Phenomenal swim."
