"Palmy hospital is a medical facility that is being pushed beyond its budget and staff that are asked to do more for less. Mental health facilities given a new flashy building but no more staff to help the increasing mental health burden. The local district would rather spend money on rebranding the facilities than helping people and burnt out staff. Get a new carpark built that will work with the nearby rescue helicopter service and make sure the singaporian owned company actually does something about vehicle breakins and theft. Engage local medical centers to stay open later and guide people to go see them instead of blowing out the wait times at ER/ED. Granted yes, half the issue is people themselves but not being able to afford medical care is becoming a problem and its not getting any better."
"Belated thank you to the wonderful staff for their care of my father throughout the past year. Everyone from ED and ward reception to nurses to doctors has been friendly and attentive. Only exception was the dermatology nurse who volunteered the cost of a procedure with the implication that treating a person of his age was a waste of money. I should have reported her."
"25/06/23 some time after midnight I was having self-harm and other thoughts in my mind very strongly so I decided to walk to the Hospital. I stood at the counter for 8-10 mins and the big woman with dark hair looked at me twice then ignored me completely. She was ignoring another lady too, who looked quite frantic. I needed help . . . . I didn't get any. I left crying my eyes out not knowing what to do, but as I survived the night I called my best friend the next day. She was more helpful. Not the first time this happened. Please hire professionals who care."
"I was forced (by mental health) to stay in the waiting room overnight for 10+ hours. I was incredibly sore, incredibly tired & they denied me having meds. This hospital is potentially the worst in the country. I've had other instances of neglect under their system too. The one star that I had to put can go to my psychologist who's actually amazing. Not like the rest of the hospital."
