Kitekite Falls

"The trail is very well marked and maintained with different options to approach the bottom of the waterfalls clockwise or counterclockwise, and an offshoot to climb the "stairs" to the very top of the falls. Absolutely beautiful and conveniently close to Auckland for a day hike."

"Great sight to see, if you can brave the cold water I suspect it would be great to swim in the small pool under the falls. If you take the left path there's LOTS of steps, taking the right pah is probably just as steep but takes you down a little stairway to the water, just a little to the side of the falls. Easy enough to cross to be in front. You'll understand when you're there"

"Breathtaking views and absolutely lovely walking trail, beautiful, clean, and well maintained with a bit of history information. Our kids are 4, 8, and 15, and this was easy enough for all of them. We all had a blast. There are places where you can have a quick bite as well."

"Beautiful waterfall, well maintained paths. Quite a few stairs, but at a slow pace it's manageable even for those who have low fitness. Parking is free and plenty big enough for our camper."
