Welcome to Piha Beachfront Restaurant, located at Marine Parade South in Piha, New Zealand. Our establishment is not just a restaurant, but also a point of interest and a vital part of the Piha Surf Life Saving Club.

Piha Surf Life Saving Club is renowned as one of New Zealand's best, and we take immense pride in our lifeguarding services. We are dedicated to patrolling and ensuring the safety of visitors at one of New Zealand's busiest and most unique beaches. With the influx of tourists and visitors during the summer, our team works tirelessly for hundreds of hours to keep everyone safe. As a volunteer service, we rely on grants, sponsors, and donations to continue our important work. If you are able to assist us, we would be extremely grateful to hear from you.

When visiting Piha Beach, we urge you to swim between the red and yellow flags, as this is the area we patrol most frequently and where you will be safest. Our vigilant lifeguards are always watching this area, so please ensure you swim within these flags. In case of any trouble, raise one hand above your head as a signal, and we will respond as quickly as possible.

For those who enjoy fishing from rocks, we strongly advise wearing a life jacket and never going alone. Standing near the water's edge can be dangerous due to unpredictable waves, which may wash you into the sea.

If caught in a rip current, try swimming parallel to the shore to escape its pull, and then swim towards the shore. It is important not to swim against the rip current, as it can exhaust you quickly. Remember to keep your hand raised above your head and remain calm.
