Welcome to Shaolin Kung Fu - Johnsonville, located at 87 Broderick Road in Wellington, New Zealand. As an establishment focused on health and wellness, we are a prominent point of interest in the area.

We are proud to announce the opening of our Avondale Training Centre in May 2021, situated in the heart of Avondale at Avondale Primary School on Crayford Street West. Our training hall is conveniently located next to the Avondale Train Station, with bus stops just a short 2-minute walk away. This central location allows us to serve not only the suburbs of Wanganui but also the wider district, including Patea, Waverley, Turakina, Whangaehu, and Marton.

At our Johnsonville NPC, we offer training for three different age groups: PeeWee (4-6 years), Children (7-12 years), and Teen/Adult (13 years and above). Our venue provides a spacious training area, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring ample space for our students. Additionally, we offer plenty of off-street parking and heating during the winter months, guaranteeing a comfortable training environment.

The lineage of Shaolin Kung Fu traces back to the Shaolin temple in Northern China, with its origins rooted in Bodhidharma and the Shaolin monks. Over the course of 1500 years, Shaolin Kung Fu evolved and spread, giving rise to various styles within the Shaolin tradition. Our specific tradition can be traced back to Seh Koh San, a monk from Fujian in the Southern Shaolin tradition, who later became the Chief Abbot of Siong Lim temple in Singapore.
