Welcome to The Sanctuary Boarding Cattery, the industry leader in pet boarding accommodation and care in New Zealand. Located at 28 Rutherford Street, Lower Hutt, our establishment offers a state-of-the-art facility for your beloved cats.

At The Sanctuary Boarding Cattery, we prioritize your cat's comfort and well-being. Our modern designed boarding enclosures are spacious and comfortable, with no cages in sight. We understand that leaving your cat behind can be a source of worry, which is why our automated climate control system ensures that the temperature is always pleasant and stable at 20°C. Our state-of-the-art ventilation system filters the air, eliminating dampness and reducing the risk of disease.

Conveniently located within The Pet Centre in Lower Hutt & Upper Hutt, Wellington, our semi-communal boarding cattery is open 7 days a week. We invite you to drop by and inspect our facilities whenever you are in town.

We offer a variety of accommodation options to suit your needs. Our studio units can accommodate up to 2 cats from the same family, while our family suites can accommodate up to 4 cats. Each unit has multiple levels for your cat to explore, with separate sleeping compartments and personal belongings trays.

Your cat's dietary needs are important to us. We provide Nutrience Premium All Life Stages cat dry food and Primal wet food. However, if your cat has specific dietary requirements or preferences, feel free to bring their own food. We will ensure they are fed twice daily in their studio, with fresh water always available.

Hygiene is a priority at The Sanctuary Boarding Cattery. We use Trouble & Trix Antibacterial crystal litter, but we have other litter options available if your cat is not comfortable with crystals. Clean, warm bedding is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own to provide a familiar scent for your cat.

In the event that your cat requires minor veterinary care, we will make every effort to engage the services of your preferred vet. If this is not possible, we work with Carevets Johnsonville and a surcharge may apply.

During the Christmas Season (December 15th to January 15th), a surcharge of $4.00 per cat per day applies due to increased staff requirements. A deposit may be required to secure your booking, and it is non-refundable if the booking is canceled less than 30 days before arrival.
