"Wonderful people to work with, always looking out for the kid's making sure they are happy and having fun! We love to dance and sing. Making things and seeing how they work, sand castle's and deep holes in the sand. Lovely food for the kid's and sleep time too. Ready for story time, how are your A B C's? Come and see for yourself!"
"My daughter Parisa is attending this centre more than a year since she was 3 years old and she has turned 4 years now. Since her beginning period, we are very well supported by all teachers and staff at discoveries Te Atatu and they continuously keep us up to date about our daughter's progress. My daughter loves her teachers and friends and they equally adore her. I feel very happy leaving her in the care of all the wonderful teachers who make her feel like home. I am confident that they will set a solid foundation for her learning path. The centre manager Jessi has always been the best in managing the school and children’s safety. This is one of the excellent kindergarten in Auckland!"
"My daughter started here in the Pipi room at 6 months of age - as you can imagine a very stressful time and heartbreaking for me! But she blew me away and took to it like a fish in water. The staff are fantastic and made sure she was well cared for every day. The team in Pipi room work well together to cater for all of the kids different needs. Sri is fantastic and always goes over and above to make sure my daughter is settled in each morning. Jessie is proactive and helpful and always takes the time to chat to you if you have any questions or problems."
"I think the feedback that has been added and rating is a little harsh. There was a period of time under the previous Acting Manager whereby the centre seemed very disorganised and I myself at the time considered moving my child. After looking around I realised that there isn't a perfect daycare in Te atatu Peninsula and that they all have some form of issue. I think its an exaggeration to say kids were crying all the time, I have never experienced this. I have found the teachers to be very gentle in nature with my children and the learnings that my three year old has come home and told me is exceptional. I heard all about Matariki the other day from my son, his development has been above and beyond thanks to the teachers there. They have new head teachers in each classroom who have really turned the place around. I am really pleased with everything that Jessie and the teachers do at this daycare. Please don't dismiss viewing this daycare due to one person's comment nearly a year ago!"
"Worst child care facility ever. They were a complete mess when we were there and we tolerated them for about 6 months before we decided to remove our 2 children. When our 2 year old started it was frightening as kids would be screaming and crying every morning being left unattended by staff. They would take our son off us as he would start crying too and hold him. However, it is scary for a parent to think my son too could be left to cry for a large portion of the day. We would find on a daily basis our children's named clothing going missing. On pick up there would often be parents saying the same thing. Even on a few occasions we would arrive to pick up our 2 year old and find his named dummy in another kids mounth. On top of this. The office management had lost our 2 year Olds enrolment form and had our 4 year old enrolled for 5 days per week when he was only attending 3 days. It makes us wonder if they were claiming 30 Ece hours instead of the 18 he was attending. Oh and 2 minute noodles and spaghetti made daily for the kids if you pay the extra, which we did when we were told they would receive a nutritional rich lunch. Which isn't the teachers role to assure they eat, on a few occasions having hungry boys who hadn't eaten all day and we were not told on pick up!! A terrible experience from parents who send there kids to pre school so they can make friends, play and be cared for, not just contributing to a business that takes advantage of a government incentive like Ece. Don't send your children here if you want the same experience we got, the worst part is that this all happened after the apparent intervention from HQ. Massive staff loss and turn around which made us more concerned about the quality of care !!"
