Welcome to Moko Ink, the world's first Maori Tattoo Studio located in Helensville, Davidson Road, 55. However, please note that our studio has recently relocated to the picturesque Woodhill in rural West Auckland.

At Moko Ink, we specialize in the contemporary use and creation of traditional Maori and Polynesian Tatu. Our goal is to keep the language and traditions unique to this art form alive, by providing one-of-a-kind body art. Each tattoo is custom designed for every individual through a consultation process, ensuring that the final piece truly expresses aspects that relate to the wearer.

Founded in 1998 by INIA III and Aileen Kemp, under the guidance of their teacher, SUA SULUAPE PAULO II, Moko Ink was established with the aim of bringing this art form out into the open. For many years, tattoos held a clandestine existence, and we wanted to provide a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for people to explore and embrace this ancient practice.
