We are proud to announce that the Territorial Commander has approved several important appointments that will further enhance our ability to serve the community. These appointments will take effect on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Our institution holds the High Council chamber as a sacred place of prayer. It serves as a reminder of our dedication to our mission and the importance of faith in our work. Recently, delegates from diverse age groups, cultures, and backgrounds participated in the first of many meaningful events held in this chamber.
We are excited to inform you that registrations for this year's Thought Matters 2023 conference are now open. This conference brings together thought leaders and experts to discuss relevant issues and explore solutions. We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for this event will be revealed soon.
The Salvation Army is not just concerned with individual support, but also with advocating for societal change. We have been urging politicians to explain their plans for reducing child poverty and addressing pressing issues related to jobs, incomes, and tax. Our Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit is dedicated to ensuring that these matters receive the attention they deserve.

"The salvation army in Karori is a great opshop in Wellington and has an amazing variety and (usually) a consistently fair pricing. I've shopped here for about 3 years now and I've seen about everything. Amazing retro jerseys to the latest trendy skirts. There's a huge variety of clothes, trinkets, tools, books, bags, CDs, DVDs, etc. The staff at this opshop are exceptional and have acted in kindness and community to me and other shoppers The only problem I face with this opshop is that the pricing - specifically of clothes - has gone up at $2 - $3. Overall, this is my go to opshop and I would 100% recommend."
