Silver Shoe Performers

Welcome to Silver Shoe Performers, an institution located at 15 Hinemoa Street in Paraparaumu, New Zealand. We are an establishment that focuses on providing interactive and high-quality performing arts experiences for young people.

Silver Shoe Productions was founded by three local performing artists who recognized the need for engaging and fun performances specifically tailored for young audiences. We started as a small theatre company, putting on successful pantomimes during school holidays. The overwhelming response to these pantomimes led us to establish Silver Shoe Performers, a Performing Arts School dedicated to introducing children to the arts.

Our classes are held at Coasters Musical Theatre, a charming venue in Paraparaumu that boasts a stage and lighting system, providing the perfect setting for children's first introduction to live theatre. At Silver Shoe Performers, we prioritize small class sizes to ensure that each student receives individual attention and ample learning opportunities. We believe that every child deserves the chance to shine, which is why all our students participate in end-of-year shows.

Our team of experienced teachers, who are also active performers in the industry, bring valuable firsthand experience to our classes. They have all worked extensively with children in the performing arts and are passionate about nurturing confident, articulate, and passionate individuals who love to entertain and educate others through drama, song, and movement.

One of our registered teachers is Charlotte Kerrigan, a multi-talented musician, singer, writer, and performer. With a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Teaching, and impressive musical qualifications, including Trinity College of London Grade 8 piano and NZMEB Grade 6 singing, Charlotte brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her teaching. She has also released two original albums and regularly performs with her blues and soul covers band, Bluesette.

Another member of our team is Jessica Clough, an experienced singer, director, screen actor, and stage performer. With a Bachelor of Arts from Massey University, Jessica has showcased her talents in various musicals around the Wellington region. She is also actively involved in the industry, performing live interactive theatre, filming corporate training videos, and working as an extra in film and television.

We are also fortunate to have Petra Rasmussen, an actor, singer, and performer, as part of our team. With a Diploma of Applied Arts and Drama from Wellington Performing Arts Centre, Petra has an extensive background in stage plays and musicals. She has also worked with renowned acting agencies and is passionate about supporting young women through empowerment programs.

In addition to our regular classes and performances, we collaborate with local theater groups such as Coasters Musical Theatre, Otaki Players, and Kapiti Playhouse. We believe in fostering a love for the performing arts in our students and providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents.
