Karori Normal School⁣

Welcome to Karori Normal School (KNS), located in Wellington, New Zealand. As a large full-primary school with approximately 750 children, we are committed to upholding our motto, "Tino pai ake - we encourage our children to be the best they can be". Despite our size, we prioritize meeting the individual needs of each child.

At KNS, our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Empathy, Integrity, and Excellence form the foundation of our interactions within the school community. These values are embedded in our classroom programs, encouraging discussions and reflections among students.

As a "Normal School," KNS maintains a close relationship with Victoria University of Wellington in regards to Initial Teacher Education. We actively participate in the training of student teachers and provide valuable input to the university's training programs. This collaboration allows us to offer high-quality models of practical classroom teaching while aligning with the theoretical emphasis of the university.
