"The best girl school in Wellington"
"I go to Marsden, and I love it. Besides the kinda strict rules/teachers it's a really good school. I moved from qmc after being bullied and my while school like changed when I moved to Marsden."
"Best college uniform in welly"
"Where the expensive girls go, to learn how to be expensive. My sister hated it. She was a cool kid, popular in an open and friendly way, and she took friendship seriously. She loved to play, get out in the trees and do stuff… then she went to Marsden. This school left permanent scars on her soul. It taught her that status will get you much further than pretty much any real virtue, of which she had many. Life was never easy for my sister, our family life wasn’t nice, she had more than her share of challenges to overcome and at this school she was punished for not having it easy, in a stable family with shiny things. Overcoming challenges is what she did, because she was one of the most dedicated and determined people I’ve ever known. It took her years, well into adulthood, to truely surmount the devastating blow to her self esteem that Samuel Marsden Collegiate delivered on her, every day for the year she was there. If you love your daughter and want her to grow into a compassionate, educated, capable, honest, generous and successful member of a strong and cohesive community, avoid Samuel Marsden Collegiate as if it were the Jenny Shipley factory."
"My daughter attends Samuel Marsden and she loves it and has excelled academically and her confidence is grown , extra curricular subjects are great , should have moved her to this school earlier"
