Greenhithe Kindergarten

Welcome to Greenhithe Kindergarten! We are a small community-focused institution located in Auckland, New Zealand, specifically on Isobel Road. Since 1995, we have been an integral part of the Greenhithe Community, providing a warm and welcoming environment for our tamariki (children), whānau (family), and the wider community.

At Greenhithe Kindergarten, we believe in learning through play. Our approach encourages children to engage in a diverse range of activities that help them expand their skills and knowledge. Through play, children establish a solid foundation for essential life skills, setting them up for success in the future.

Our dedicated teachers, known as kaiako, work alongside the children to enhance teachable moments and nurture their emergent interests. We have a strong focus on fostering dispositional learning, ensuring that our tamariki develop the necessary attributes for their growth and development. We take great pride in our participation in a two-year research project on Transition to School, which highlights our commitment to continuous improvement.

Furthermore, our kaiako are highly skilled in implementing the Incredible Years Teacher Programme, which supports young children in self-regulation, social, emotional, and academic competence.

Our kindergarten operates from Monday to Friday, with hours from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm. Our office hours are from 8 am to 4:45 pm. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
