"They have some good offers sometimes. Be sure to know your prices, because you need to be sure of what you're buying. Is the price going to be worth the expiry date on the item? We have found some good bargains here."
"I love this place. Admittedly we call it The Sugar Shop, so many things are 'bad for you' but it always has something different, you never know what they've just got in. I never fail to leave with something to try. The staff are the best."
"Sells grocery items which are, you guessed it, Reduced to Clear. Sometimes this means past best before, sometimes it means coming up on use by. Products are ALWAYS changing, but you can bet there will be some canned and bottled drink options, various candy and chocolate stuffs, biscuits and crackers, every possible type of mayo or sauce product, noodle, usually sauce sachets like watties eg black bean beef sauce. If you are a regular in Porirua I would go once a week and work out any standard repeat things your household loves. If you don't visit Porirua often, like me, go EVERY TIME you do. This week's scores (as examples) 40 pack of L'Or coffee capsules at about $8. That's getting close to a quarter of the usual. Around $8 for the giant Cadbury Favourites (ozzy assortment I think). The lads who run the checkout give some of the BEST customer service and interaction around."
"Not everything is there but it's a good deal. We took our receipt and the cashier goes "better be safe than sorry". Most stuff has expired but some are good deal."
"Customer service is mostly great. The young males who work there have really awesome friendly and interactive customer service. Wish I could say the same about a young female worker there. On one occasion to the store she was busy telling a customer who asked if she was under the weather she replied no just hung over. Like customers wanna see or hear that. Sometimes staff are on their phones just seems like poor management to me."
