"Wow what a wonderful gem to stay at, located so close to Bendigo CBD. The accommodation is immaculate with beautiful styling throughout. Sarah (Host) is so easy and pleasant to deal with, she made our stay such a wonderful experience. We also loved the character of the building and private courtyard. Sitting with a coffee, looking at facade of lime wash walls and bluestone foundation, you couldn't help but be taken back to the era of the past. A highlight also was the comfort of the beds, both my wife and I slept so soundly, something rare when sleeping away from home. I would highly recommend you book at Stays on Forrest in Bendigo and treat yourselves to a little break and explore this wonderful region."
"Poor lighting throughout, especially in the kitchen. Perhaps replace dark light shades with lighter option., LED lighting or additional lamps, and under top cupboard lighting. Front verandah light is essemtial, it is unsafe as it is without one. Light from inside above front door is inadequate. Toilet is separate, but you have to go through bathroom. Poor option especially when staying with friends, who don't toilet or shower together! Needs 2nd toilet. Hooks on back of bathroom and bedroom doors for towels, dressing gowns etc. Also when showering, bathroom floor floods. This is hazardous and needs urgent attention. Exhaust fan is ineffective, requires heat lamps as well as exhaust fan."
