"I love the store because of its beautiful clothes and accessories. However, yesterday I had an unpleasant encounter with the woman at the counter when I was buying three items of jewellery as a present. I asked her to remove the price tags as they were gifts. After she did that I asked if I can have a gift receipt in case my friend wanted to exchange the gifts for something else. Her response was unprofessional and rude. She said because "you made me do it" I can't give you a gift receipt. I didn't make a scene but I found her to be rude and unprofessional. Firstly, I asked her to remove them, not forced her. Secondly, as a customer I'm allowed to tell her that I want price tags removed. Thirdly, regardless of whether the gifts were half price or not, no one ever gives gifts with price tags on so I find it surprising that she said "you made me do it"! Fourthly, even if the jewellery were half price she could have replied that she can't do that in a more polite, professional manner. Sometimes, the shopping experience matters more than what the nice stuff it's selling and even if the prices are good."
