Community Dental Service Bendigo, Victoria 3550
About the Business
Welcome to the Community Dental Service, located at 100 Barnard Street in Bendigo, Victoria. As an establishment that focuses on health, we are a point of interest for individuals seeking quality dental care in the Greater Bendigo City area.
At our institution, we prioritize the dental needs of adults aged 18 and over who hold a current Healthcare or Pension card. We understand that emergencies can arise, which is why we conduct a triage assessment to determine the urgency of each case. Our patients are then placed into one of five categories, ensuring that those in need of immediate attention receive prompt care. Please note, a co-payment fee is applicable for our services.
The treatment timeframe varies depending on the urgency of the dental problem. Our dedicated team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, Oral Health Educators, Dental Assistants, and Latrobe students studying to be Dentists or Oral Health Therapists work diligently to alleviate pain caused by toothaches, dental swellings, broken teeth, and fillings. We prioritize child patients experiencing toothaches, ensuring they receive the care they require in a timely manner.
To receive treatment at our facility, adults aged 18 and over must possess a current Healthcare or Pension Card and be placed on our waiting list. Additionally, we offer denture provision services as recommended by our dental practitioners.
In collaboration with Latrobe University, our Dental Services also include a Dental Teaching Clinic, where future dental professionals receive hands-on training. We are proud to contribute to the education and development of these students.
Our commitment to the community extends beyond the clinic walls. We deliver various preventative oral health care programs to promote good dental hygiene and overall well-being. We believe that prevention is key to maintaining optimal oral health.
Children eligible for treatment at our Public Dental Clinic do not require a referral. We are pleased to inform you that there are no out-of-pocket costs for eligible children, as all treatments are bulk billed.
For adults aged 18 and over seeking treatment at our Public Dental Clinic, no referral is necessary. Bendigo Health and Latrobe University work in partnership to provide a teaching facility within our clinic, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

"sat on the phone for half an hour just to be hung up on as soon as a person answered my call, very nice."
"The professionalism and care that I received from my dentist and assistant today was second to none. Well done ladies."
"Since having my teeth cleaned here in 2019 I've suffered extreme nerve pain in my whole mouth in the gums and teeth. I have to take medication everyday to suppress the pain. These people have ruined my life. They have permanently damaged the nerves in my mouth."
"I visited yesterday and was given a thorough examination to have my assessment for a dental plan which has been put together to fix my teeth within the next two months, as I will require a number of visits to complete. I had Xrays done also. I was seen by two dental students as well as the dentist who supervised. I cannot speak highly enough about how well I was treated, as well as being friendly and putting me at ease, everything was explained to me clearly so I understood it all and was also shown and had the xrays explained to me which is something I have never had done at any dentist before! I am so happy that my teeth will be sorted out and the care and service I received was excellent. Both students were so kind and caring, as well as the dentist. This is a great service and we are fortunate to have it."
