"If you're a vegetarian and living through the economic crisis, I'd steer clear - at very least don't order the Sweet Potato Stack. $26.50 for half a potato and less than half a mouthful of feta, pesto, pumpkin and pine nuts combined. The flavour and plating were fine, but the portion was pathetic. The service left something to be desired, having other patrons suggest we go straight to the bar rather than continue waiting to be seated. Very disssapointed and very much still hungry."

"Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere at the hotel. For such a large venue it has a very intimate and cozy atmosphere. Our party of four all enjoyed our meal very much. My only gripe was that my rare steak was overcooked. Still very juicy and tasty, but much more medium on its way to well done rather than the rare I ordered. Other than that, it was all delicious."
"Brilliant gastro pub. Easily rivals Melbourne venues. Its the third time we have stopped here when in Bendigo (or passing through, stopping solely for their food). Even better knowing they have Stone & Wood on tap. Outside area for people with dogs. A stop here wont disappoint."
