"I may not give the UQ Gatton campus restaurant a five-star rating if I visit it for years. However, I must admit that the food served here has amazed me. The restaurant is located in the old dining hall, which was built in 1963, and the nostalgic ambiance is reflected in the tables and chairs. They offer a $15 buffet with a limited selection of food, including salads, soup, and a few simple drinks. Initially, I had doubts about whether this kind of buffet was worth $15. However, their execution of the dishes is flawless. Each simple dish is prepared with precision, resulting in a delicious taste. The simplicity of their offerings becomes an advantage, as every dish I tried was flavorful. I particularly recommend their soups, which are the best Western-style soups I have ever tasted. They are fresh, packed with umami, and truly a delight. While the overall experience at the restaurant may not be perfect, the outstanding taste of the food is worth mentioning. If you're in the mood for a satisfying and flavorful meal, I encourage you to give their buffet a try."
