Our story began with a simple idea, nurtured by Diana Williams, who wanted to create a space for women to lift weights and feel empowered. This boutique gym concept has blossomed into a national phenomenon, with over 70 locations across Australia. At Fernwood, we are proud to offer the best personal trainers and nutrition coaches who specialize in women's health and fitness.
Here at Fernwood, we embrace the notion of lifting heavy weights. We want to dispel the myth that weightlifting makes you "bulky" and instead show you that it can make you fitter, stronger, and more toned. In addition to weightlifting, we offer a wide range of group fitness classes where you can dance like nobody's watching, push yourself in our FIIT30 sessions, and catch up with friends on the treadmill or bike.
But our offerings don't stop there. We also provide a space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Our reformer Pilates classes will help you become more flexible and stretchy, while our yoga classes allow you to move with intention and find inner peace. We even offer mindful meditations to help you slow down and find balance in your busy life.

"Just nope. The moment the carer snatched a duplo from an already crying baby, just so she can get back the toy, I already know this isnt the place for my child. Ever since that, he started to cry whenever we are close to the child minding area. I trusted my gut and left the gym. We are now happier in a new gym where my child doesnt cry for “no reason”. Im glad i did the 30 days period before committing to this."
"Safe, private, mostly quiet, easy roadside parking; Has continental breakfast on weekday, and child care facility for moms ( if not mistaken- I am not a mom). Once join, able to use facility in Health Fitness World too ( huge gym in same building). Great boxing facility and lots of classes suitable for all people ( classes are uni-sex) Only cons is that the toilet is shared with another gym, and shower is not private unit. Expensive joining fees about $300 ish ( including once off activation fees), fortnight rate is about $45+ ish. Overall love the gym, great long operating hours (4am-12 midnight), but felt that it is quite expensive. Will recommend others who can afford"
"Nothing against this gym personally, but when you move over 100 km away and still can't cancel your membership despite this being the closest gym. It's disgusting. And the extra you pay is really for nothing."
