About Secret Harbour Primary School
Welcome to Secret Harbour Primary School, located at 178 Maratea Parade in Secret Harbour, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we take pride in being a primary school that provides quality education to our students.
Since our inception in 1997, Secret Harbour Primary School has been committed to creating a positive learning environment for our students. In fact, we were Australia's first School in a Shopping Centre, operating in a temporary location until our purpose-built school was ready for the 2002 school year. Despite the unconventional setting, we ensured that our students received the same level of education as any other school.
At Secret Harbour Primary School, our dedicated staff work collaboratively to foster a happy atmosphere where children enjoy learning. Our primary goal is to help students develop socially and academically to the best of their abilities. We strongly believe in the power of cooperation between staff, students, and parents to create a supportive and nurturing environment.
We value the involvement of parents in their children's education. We encourage you to visit the school, discuss your children's progress, and even assist in the classroom or with other activities. Our teachers are more than happy to meet with you, so please make an appointment for more in-depth discussions. Your active interest in your children's education enhances their learning experience and reinforces its importance.
Prospective parents and community members are also welcome to visit our school. Let us know in advance, and we will gladly show you our facilities and provide information about our programs. We value your views and suggestions, as we believe that by sharing and caring, we can continuously strive for excellence at Secret Harbour Primary School.
Our staff is excited and ready to embark on a fruitful and stimulating journey with your children. We look forward to working together to provide them with the best possible education and support.
Reviews of Secret Harbour Primary School
"I went and watched my nephews assembly item and one of the teachers was wearing a white skirt with a black G-string. It was very see through. It was gross to be wearing around primary kids. Her outfit would have suited a night club. Honestly I don't understand how a teacher can think it is appropriate to wear this around kids. Not sure why the Principal or school leaders would be ok too. This would not happen at my kids school."
"My son is autistic and gets fantastic support at this school. Teachers and EAs have made a potential horrible situation excellent for him and myself"
"Over the past 6 years, I've had 3 girls attend/ attending SHPS. My girls are happy and thriving there, supported by an amazing staff, teachers, EA's, admin and volunteers. We're so fortunate to have a school that offers so much within walking distance to our home."
"My daughter and son have both attended the SHPS (for the past 7 years). I am extremely happy with the teachers who have taught my children, some teachers better than others but overall my children thrived in different areas with different teaching strategies. I volunteer a lot of my time at the school and constantly witness the love and care that is devoted to all students by the staff. The Principal and Deputy Principals are professional and very approachable with any issue that I felt I needed to raise about my children or other issues within the school. They are extremely knowledgeable of all primary school policies. I will be very sad to see my children leave and go to high school, our time and memories at the SHPS will be cherished for many years to come. "
"Lets just Say the teachers bully as much as the Children. The school may have an anti-bully policy but it's not worth the paper its written on. It appears they support bullying inside and outside of the classroom by rewarding the bullies and punishing those being bullied. Great school for you kid if it is the bully. Not so much otherwise. I would not ever recommend this school to parents."
