Reviews of Howard Springs Nature Park
"Beautiful environment and conveniently located just a short drive from Darwin. Went to feed the fishes and turtles in the morning. Also attended a story session where they talked about the history and importance of the park. Great place for picnics and to bring toddlers to swim in the manmade rock pool."
"A must visit when visiting Darwin. There is a lovely park, playground and picnic tables near the water spring. The Spring itself is like an outdoor aquarium with different species of fish, turtles and snakes swimming in the water. There is also an easy bushwalk that you can do as well."
"This place is perfect for families. Lush green grass and lots of tables under shade. Great playground with rock climbing, flying Fox and other basic play equipment. The water play area is beautiful, with a waterfall and cascading pools, all under cover. Then there is the actual springs which you can see ample fish and turtles at. The downside is that there is only the facilities for children to swim at, so not great for anyone older. Still a perfect spot for a picnic."
"Omg!! What a fantastic place for kids and adults alike. The kids play equipment and water features are amazing and the pond life which includes multiple varieties of fish and turtles. (See photos!!)"
"Family orientated with lovely views Pros Plenty of shaded sitting areas Plenty of BBQ to cook Kids pool Kids swimming area Can feed fish and turtles Flying foxes, slides and climbing equipment Lots of parking Well kept by parks and wild life Cons Low air flow makes it feel really hot bring a portable fan Loads of bugs that bite bring insect spray Parkways are narrow and lots of bring corners Subject to flooding in the wet"
