"Had a 'google find me somewhere nice for lunch' , lunch here the other day and was beyond impressed! We came with tweens who enjoyed the outdoor space and playground as much as any little kid would and they were impressed with the choice of more than just nuggets off the kids menu . We enjoyed the fabulous 'non meat' options and the delicious cocktails to share. The food was above and beyond , absolutely delicious, we had the pepperberry sweet potato and the souffle and will be back again to try the many other things we couldn't decide between."
"Great restaurant with ample parking and a nice varied menu. Not to mention access to the bar right there in the seating area. The dining area has a nice clean modern timber and metal vibe which promotes the feeling of space, producing a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The large glass windows with views of the green and the children's play area also help to promote this. I can picture myself coming past on a warm afternoon and sitting outside, watching the sunset and having a lazy snack and drink. I came for lunch and the soft shell crab tacos and meaty pizza I ordered were done well. Given the fittings and furnishings of the dining area, my mind automatically thinks this was a place with good food, priced a little higher than what you would consider a local establishment, and would have little sitting on the plate. I was glad to see other meals arriving at the tables around me, and my meals, proved that the offering is worth the price. The food was fresh and tasty. The soft shell crab with a light batter still warm from the oil, the accompanying sliced chillies were vibrant, and the amount of actual meat on the pizza with sauce that you can taste, all washed down with a dark ale **chef's kiss**. I would have stayed longer to sit, converse, and have another drink, yet there was a time limit on the reservation. Overall, this was a great introduction to the restaurant and its offerings. I am glad I came for lunch and will keep this in mind when in the area to swing by for a relaxed dining session. P.S. The meaty pizza didn't come with chillies. I took them from the tacos and threw them on."
"Our new local! Love it. Haven’t had one meal that I haven’t liked yet. The prawn pizza is our favourite so far. We love getting a table on the deck where you can see the kids on the playground. Staff are friendly!"
"The Birdie is a gem of a local restaurant, with great views and an awesome mini golf themed playground for families with kids. The golf themed Bistro menu has a solid selection of options for vegetarians and gluten intolerant patrons, and incorporates Australian ingredients. There is also a good variety of alcoholic beverages, including a number of golf themed cocktails. The food itself is a hole in one, beautifully presented on the plate and easy on the palate. The Birdie is definitely a great place to go for a chilled date night, work function or family get together."
"A super nice surprise to find this place after needing a nearby place to meet family for lunch near the Lark Hill sporting stadium. Gorgeous decor, clean amenities, great outlook, very friendly and attentive staff, great food. Really lovely food that was nicely presented. It was not cheap nor overly expensive. Nowhere is cheap now, in many small cafes they charge the same price as Birdie but the quality is not very good. So don’t come here and say the prices are steep! The quality of food is high and service is high so you get what you pay for. We got the lamb rump and the market fish which were both excellent. The servings were not huge but just the right size for healthful eating. But we saw boys in the table next to us get pizza and they were big served. I think if you are a big eater get the burgers etc. Well done Birdie, despite living in Perth, we will make an effort to come back. PS the food looked nicer in real life than my photos!"
