About Table Top / Meewah
Welcome to Table Top / Meewah, an establishment and park that is a true point of interest and tourist attraction in Rangeville, Australia. Located on Table Top Rd, Lot 101, this institution is a must-visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
Table Top Mountain Bushland Reserve, where Table Top is situated, is a park of volcanic origin that holds great significance to the Traditional Owners. It is recognized in the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Register and protected under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003. As a visitor, we kindly request you to consider your decision to climb this mountain, as it holds cultural importance.
Please be aware that the route to the summit is not maintained and could pose potential safety concerns. Caution should be exercised during your walk. Additionally, there are no facilities available at this bushland reserve, so please come prepared.
The walk starts at the base of the first hill, which consists of large stone steps. This section is steep for about 150 meters. The descent from the first hill is less demanding but requires climbing over medium-sized rocks. As you ascend, you will encounter loose gravel and exposed rocks towards the summit. However, the effort is well worth it, as the circuit at the mountain top offers an exceptional view that will leave you in awe.
Table Top Mountain rises 700 meters above sea level and is known for its flat peak, on which no trees grow for unknown reasons. Despite being one of the smaller escarpment parks, Table Top Park is considered one of the best due to its unique features and breathtaking scenery.
In addition to its natural beauty, Table Top offers various activities for outdoor enthusiasts. It is best suited for bushwalking, mountain biking, and horse riding. The bushwalking trail is classified as Grade 3, indicating a moderate level of difficulty. The mountain biking trail is classified as Intermediate, while the horse riding trail is classified as Class 2 intermediate.
The trail for bushwalking starts at the end of Stevenson Street Trail, marked by a white metal gate. This trail follows an unformed road that serves as the boundary between Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley. Along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of Table Top Mountain from different angles. These views are exclusive to this trail and cannot be seen from anywhere else in Toowoomba. The trail concludes at the base of Table Top Mountain Bushland Reserve, where the Table Top Walk begins. This trail is also suitable for walking with dogs on a leash.
Another trail option is the Stevenson Street Trail, which can be accessed from the Bridle Trail and Fantail Walk. This trail starts at the dirt carpark off Table Top Drive and runs parallel to the south-eastern side of the Picnic Point bridle trail. Surrounded by eucalyptus forest, this trail provides a habitat for abundant wildlife. Like the previous trail, it is ideal for walking with dogs on a leash.
To help you navigate the trails, we provide a walking trail map of Table Top Mountain Bushland Reserve.

Reviews of Table Top / Meewah
"Absolutely awesome trail ! Spectacular views , challenging, and I can't wait to do it again. Put it on your to-do list!"
"A short, steep little mountain. You can park at the bottom or at various carparks along the way to increase the walk/run length. Good for a weekend outing with family. Also good to run up for more intense training. Can get very hot in warmer months, bring water if you're going to be on the mountain for a while."
"Few minutes away from Toowoomba town. Would take maximum 2 hours for the hike. It is good for experienced hikers. Not suitable for children. The hike is totally worthwhile the view from above is great. Good for a picnic for a couple. If you a hiking in summer i would recommend to climb early in the morning"
"Steep scramble/rock climb definitely not for the inexperienced. Took the dog but would not recommend as he had trouble with gaps in the rocks. Great views from the top though."
