Owned by Mark, a highly experienced trainer with a friendly and laid-back personality, our driving school provides a fun and low-stress environment for students to learn and gain confidence. Mark's approach quickly puts students at ease, allowing them to focus on their learning journey and prepare for their P's test.

Our driving lessons are conducted in Launceston and its surrounding areas, including Exeter, Newnham, St Leonards, Youngtown, and Hadspan. However, we are open to considering special requests for students residing outside this area.

Depending on your level of experience, some students may require a general 'polish' with just 1-2 lessons, while others starting from scratch may need an average of 7-10 lessons. We understand that every student is unique, and we will work with you to create a personalized lesson plan after assessing your skills on your first day.

Our lessons are priced at $120 per 1.5 hours, which is equivalent to $80 per hour. It's worth noting that our prices decrease as you purchase more lessons. Book 5 lessons and get 5% off, book 7 lessons and get 7% off, or book 10 lessons and get 10% off.

For your convenience, we offer free lesson pick-up and drop-off within the designated area. If you have your own vehicle, we can use it for the lessons as long as it is registered, comprehensively insured, and roadworthy. We will conduct a quick check before we begin.

At Margin Driving School, we provide a 2018 auto Suzuki Swift for lessons. This vehicle, similar to the ones used by RACT, is small, packed with safety features, and offers a smooth and enjoyable driving experience. Most importantly, it is equipped with a second brake pedal, ensuring your safety during the lessons.

When Mark believes you are ready, he will advise you to book your test. Please note that he does not conduct the assessments himself. However, our 2.5-hour license test package includes various services such as pickup (1 hour before your test), warm-up drive, accompanying you to the assessment location, post-test visit to Service Tas to get your P's, and drop-off back home.

Whether you choose to use our car or your own, we prioritize your comfort and safety. Rest assured, we are fully insured, and both Mark and the car have undergone police and working with children checks. Additionally, for added security, the car is fitted with front and rear dash cams.

Lastly, due to the current circumstances, there is no requirement for a COVID plan at our driving school. Your safety and well-being are always our top priority.
