Reviews
"Coodanup College suffers from several significant problems that hinder the establishment's ability to provide a safe and supportive educational environment. One of the most distressing aspects of my experience was the prevalence of constant bullying among students. This persistent issue created an atmosphere of fear and anxiety, compromising the well-being of students on a daily basis. Moreover, I have personally experienced the school's staff's facade of concern without genuinely addressing the issues at hand. It was disheartening to witness their lack of authentic care for students, which further exacerbated the problems within the institution. Additionally, the lack of cleanliness, with rubbish scattered throughout the premises, portrayed a disregard for basic maintenance and hygiene standards. The presence of frequent fights within the school was deeply unsettling and further contributed to the overall sense of unease. Although some teachers demonstrated satisfactory competence, it was disappointing to encounter a few educators who appeared ill-equipped and unfit to fulfill their teaching roles. The presence of such individuals compromises the quality of education provided, and it is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism. Another disconcerting aspect of Coodanup College was the prevailing tendency to marginalize students who deviated even slightly from the norm. This ostracization of individuals who exhibited uniqueness or differences reinforced an exclusionary culture that should have no place in an educational institution. Perhaps the most distressing incident was when I observed a teacher passively observing a student being harassed without taking appropriate action. This lack of intervention reflects a severe failure on the part of the staff to ensure the safety and well-being of their students. In summary, my experience at Coodanup College has been marked by numerous distressing occurrences, including bullying, superficial concern from staff, poor cleanliness standards, frequent fights, inadequate teaching qualifications in some cases, and a culture of exclusion. These issues have severely hindered the school's ability to foster a positive learning environment. It is my hope that this review brings attention to the urgent need for significant improvements in Coodanup College's policies, staff training, and overall culture, in order to create a safe and supportive environment for all students. For now, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place for your children to learn. Trust me, you'll thank me later."
"Great School! I just started attending, term 1, nothing bad has happened, haven't heard a whisper about someone threatening or anything"
"The teachers are cold hearted and don’t care about anyone and are super sexist they have something against boys some teachers are actually good but some don’t even teach they just give work that no one knows how to do and the students think so high of themselves especially the aboriginal kids"
"I was using deodorant that was my last deodorant it meant a lot to me and they just took it away. They are all cold hearted people who just take away deodorant and never give it back. Also the principals bald head is too shiny that's how I went blind and deaf, don't go to this school."
"I had my daughter in this school for a few weeks. They have not sent me any correspondence after 2 phone calls and an email still nothing. Tried to contact over concerns with academic problems . No reply. Never had these problems b4. Pulled her out of Coodenup. I would find another school. Not good!"
